Kolkata is famous for Chaitra sale.
Generally 15 March to 14 April is the time of Chaitra sale. Gariahat, Hatibagan, Shyambazar, Manicktalla become extremely crowded.
People become crazy about buying. I know some families, who come to Kolkata from other districts to buy in the time of Chaitra sale.
Personally I don't prefer to buy in this time because the sellers generally increase the selling price first and then they give discount on the increased price (just like the profit and loss sums). Sometime if you are not careful because of the crowd shopkeepers may sell you defective items.
What is your opinion about Chaitra sell? |

I do agree with you. Because I am one of the victim of that kind of sales. But after that I never tried even among the bulk. The sales rally may be a boon for some people with lower earnings. |
